ECCE and CETS Schemes
We strongly welcome the “free -pre school year”. This is a major development in the area of early childhood education. As a universal scheme it is hoped that all children will benefit from a place in this highly important development year before they start school.
The Early Childcare and Education Scheme (ECCE) provides one year “Free Pre-School education to every child in Ireland aged between 3 years 2 months and 4 years 6 months on September 1st each year. Parents may avail of this scheme (ECCE) for their children on a 38- week per year basis.
Teach na Leanai are participating providers of the new Governments scheme to provide a free pre-school year for children in the year before they start primary school.
Teach na Leanai strive to give every child the best start in early childhood education by encouraging learning in a fun filled secure and
safe environment.
CET Scheme
In September 2010 DCYA introduced a childcare support scheme. This scheme replaced the payments given to by Fas and the Vec to subsidize their childcare payments. Parents who are availing of certain training courses are eligible for a CETS place. The government will pay fees directly to Teach na Leanai to cover the cost of your childcare place. If you wish to avail of this scheme you can contact Eileen on 0871312093 for further information.
If your child is in mainstream education CETS will cover the cost of before and after school.
