High Scope Childhood Education.
The High Scope curriculum emerged with a Plan –Do –Review process as its core and an approach to early childhood education, adults and children share control.

High Scope recognizes that the power to learn resides in the child. The staff at Teach na Leanai’s role is to support and guide the young children through their active learning adventures and experiences, and this is what makes our program work so well.

At High Scope your child will begin to become accustomed to a rich stimulating environment while they experience the excitement of learning through play.

The children aged between 2 and 3 are filled with different activities every day and at this stage the children are introduced to the first stage elements of the High Scope method.

  • Play Areas are clearly defined and stocked with age appropriate materials (all natural materials)
  • Office area (with real phone and office equipment)
  • Kitchen area (with real utensils)
  • Construction area (with blocks and tools )
  • Art and Crafts area
  • Music and Movement area.
We are one of the few facilities in county Longford offering the High Scope Method.

We also have educational activities for the children which include drama ,story time, sand and water exploration and relaxation time.
